Collection Notices
The reference wording for each point at which personal information is collected, and what a person is told at the time.
Version 1.1. Effective 1 October 2026.
Glo is operated by Connor Wu trading as Glo, ABN 23 380 080 435, of Unit B14, 161 Arthur Street, Homebush West NSW 2140. You can reach us at hello@welcomeglo.com.
This page collects, in one place, what a person is told at each point Glo asks them for personal information. Australian Privacy Principle 5 requires that notice at or before the moment of collection, so each of these appears where the information is actually asked for. They are gathered here as a reference, not as a substitute for the notice itself.
Our Privacy Policy is the full account of what we hold, why, who it goes to, where it is processed and how long we keep it. This page is the short version, shown at the right moment.
1. Booking a job
Shown under the details form on a business's booking page, at the point a name, mobile number and email address are asked for.
Your name, mobile and email go to the business you are booking with, so they can confirm this booking and contact you about the job. Glo is the booking software they use, and stores it for them. What we do with it
A longer notice can be opened underneath it, covering who gets the details, what is asked for and why, what happens if something is left out, who else sees it, overseas processing, your rights, and who your consumer rights about the job are against. The full text of that longer notice is set out in section 6 of our Privacy Policy.
The address
Shown at the address field, one step later, because that is where the address is actually collected.
Where the work happens. The business needs it to turn up, and it is stored with your booking. As you type, the suggestions come from Google, so what you type goes to them too. Nobody else outside the business and Glo sees it.
Where a returning client picks an address they have used before rather than typing one, the sentence about Google does not apply and is not shown, because nothing is sent to Google in that case.
Before you confirm
Shown immediately above the button that creates the booking.
By booking you agree to the business's own terms for the job, and to Glo's terms for the pages you are using. What we do with your details
Two different agreements, named separately on purpose. The contract for the work itself is between you and the business, on their own terms and their own cancellation policy. Ours covers only the pages Glo operates.
2. Creating a Glo account
Shown on the signup form, above the button that creates the account.
By creating an account you agree to our Terms of Service, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Privacy Policy. Your free trial runs 14 days. We do not ask for a card to start it, so nothing can ever be charged unless you choose a plan yourself. When the 14 days end, your account stops until you pick one. Nothing is deleted, and your financial records stay free to download at any time.
We record that you agreed, when you agreed, and which version of each document you agreed to. There is no pre-ticked marketing box on that form. Consent to marketing has to be given deliberately, and a box somebody did not notice is not that.
3. Joining a team
Shown when somebody invited into a business sets their password.
By setting a password you agree to our Terms of Service, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Privacy Policy. Your employer holds the subscription. You are being given access to their account, and to their clients' personal information, so treat it the way you would want yours treated.
The same record is kept as at signup.
4. The tracking page
Shown on the page a client reaches from the link in their booking confirmation.
This page is operated by Glo for the business you booked with. It shows the booking they hold for you: what was booked, when, what it costs, and where the job is up to.
Anybody holding this link can see it and can act on it, including cancelling or moving the booking. Treat it the way you would treat a key, and do not post it anywhere public.
If you cancel, move the booking or release a deposit from this page, we record that it happened, when, and the internet (IP) address it came from, so both you and the business can see what changed.
Messages
Shown at the message box on that page.
Messages here go to the business and are kept with your booking. Anyone working for them can read them. Do not put health information, card numbers or government identifiers in a message.
5. Invoices and quotes
Shown on the public invoice and quote pages a business sends a link to.
This document is issued by the business named on it, not by Glo. Glo is the software they use to produce and send it. Questions about what is on it, what it covers or how to pay it go to them.
Anybody holding this link can open this document. What we do with your details
6. Text messages
Our SMS Terms set out the four text messages Glo sends about a booking, and how to stop them.
7. Questions
If you want to know what we hold about you, want it corrected, or are unhappy with how it was handled, our Privacy Policy explains how to ask and how long we take. Email hello@welcomeglo.com and a person will answer.
